PVC pipe wrap tape has a soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) backing with a rubber-based adhesive. It is useful for wrapping around various types of piping to protect them and prevents leaks. It also functions as a masking tape for chrome plating, or you can wrap it around electrical conduits, water pipes, and drainpipes to protect against corrosion and water intrusion.

PVC Pipe Wrap Tape 20 Mil Black (65050B)

PVC pipe wrap tape (65050B) is a thick, black tape. With a thickness of 20 mils, this tape is the thicker of the two. As such, it is preferable for heavier-duty applications that require thick, strong tape.

This tape is useful if you need tensile strength — it boasts 32 pounds per inch —and it comes in matte black.
